These days, it seems like a new BMW model arrives at our showroom every week. That's because the Bavarian brand is in the midst of an extensive lineup overhaul, and in so far, each model has been quite well received. Take, for example, the new 2 Series, which won three separate awards overnight.
The performance-spec M235i came on the scene like a wrecking ball, poised to win em' all, and win it did. Consumer Reports ranked the car 98 out of 100--the best markings of any Bavarian auto ever. In addition, the IIHS rated the car as Top Safety Pick+. On the engine front, the International Engine of the Year Awards also weighed in, ranking the 3.0L twin-turbo six the tops in the 2.5L to 3.0L segment.
